Breakaway of Ipswich are one of the UK’s longest established fishing tackle companies with over 32 years in the business, but they were alarmed to discover recently that some tackle dealers are advertising and selling counterfeit Impact Shields, Lead Lifts and other items of tackle from their range, which are protected by British patent or copyright.
The counterfeit stuff has been made in India and any tackle dealers in the UK or Europe found with these items risk being prosecuted and stocks seized. Breakaway say that most of this product is not only inferior but dangerous.
