FishingMagic Ed catches Temple’s Ghost at 30lb 4oz!Bury Hill’s junior bailiff Ed Mason, finally added his name to the Temple thirty by catching the ‘Ghost’ at 30lb 4oz! Ed aged just 16, a mature angler for his years, fished a mid week session on Temple catching his new personal best at around midday Tuesday, following a hectic night which saw him bank four further fish to 27lb 2oz.
Fishing peg 15, a chopped down pineapple pop up, fishing to the corner of the island into 4′ of water, was the winning method for the ‘Ghost’ and a big common weighing 27lb 2oz which also came from the same area. Carrying tag number 143031, The ‘Ghost’ was stocked into Temple in November 2003 weighing 23lb 9oz. Ed went on to catch a further three fish, all mirrors weighing 23lb 4oz, 23lb and 19lb 8oz, landed on Perfection Groundbait Spicy Squid boilies fished over hemp and pellet to the island channel. |
