Enjoy the sun – without the hassle…

Shade-Yor-Face proves a hit at leisure convention in Cologne

Could this be the essential fashion item at holiday beaches and poolsides?

A new device which removes the hassle of finding shade in sunny hotspots is expected to become an essential accessory for sun-lovers and holidaymakers. Shade-Yor-Face, invented by Gregory Peck, is a sun visor which comes complete with an inflatable pillow and light-weight carry bag.

The usual way to shade your face
The handy device provides protection for the face and head while under the sun’s rays. It was successfully introduced at this month’s (September) Spoga leisure convention in Cologne, Germany. Inventor Gregory Peck and representatives from Shade-Yor-Face received a lot of interest after showcasing the product and describing its benefits.

People often don’t want their faces subjected to glaring sunshine, even with their eyes shut – and will often do anything just to get some shade.

Whether it’s a towel or magazine, we’ve all experienced the inconvenience of finding some quick shade – it’s hot, sweaty and unpleasant. But Shade-Yor-Face provides the trouble free and ‘squint-free’ solution, and it can be used at the beach, on the lawn or poolside, home or away.

It isn’t bulky like a parasol or umbrella and won’t fly away in the slightest breeze. The product is perfect for cruise ships, hotels or beaches where space is limited. Shade-Yor-Face’s portable sun shade comes to the rescue in places where large sun umbrellas are used by only one or two people or where loungers are left with no shade. Shade-Yor-Face can shade just as effectively but takes up a fraction of the space.

The new way to Shade-Yor-Face
The adaptable design means you can attach Shade-Yor-Face to a deck chair or keep it free-standing while lying on the attached inflatable pillow, which comes as part of the package. The Shade-Yor-Face canopy could also be easily adapted to feature advertising or the branding of a hotel, cruise ship or holiday company

British inventor, Gregory Peck, said: “I always find it a pain to cover my face on the beach, as a hat never quite does the trick. When I started to produce some designs to solve the problem, people started to say, ‘that’s great when can I buy one?’.”

Gregory carefully developed the idea, incorporating an inflatable pillow, attractive and lightweight design, and a bag to store and carry clothes or possessions safely.

Note from FISHINGmagic
Is this just what the long-stay angler has been waiting for? Just think, while lying outside in the sun, just by the bivvy door, sprawled on your bedchair, you can clip on your Shade-Yor-Face. All it needs to be suitable for fishing is making in a nice Realtree camo design with Shimano or Fox, or some other tackle company’s logo on it.

Or we could use it when lay in bed at night in the bivvy. Just wear your headtorch and clip a magazine or book to its underside!

What a great idea! Can anybody else think of more good ideas for the Shade-Yor-Face?
