The FISHINGmagic team will be at Birmingham’s National Exhibition Centre this coming weekend, Friday 23rd, Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th March, and hoping to meet as many FISHINGmagic members (and non-members) as possible.

We’ll be there for all threedays and I for one certainly don’t want to be stood there and not meet as many of you good folk as possible. I want to be chatting to you about fishing, moaning about the foot-and-mouth disease, and putting the world to rights just like we do when we’re fishing!

Apart from coming to see us, which will definitely be thehighlight of your visit(!), there are loads of other attractions towhile away a good day, especially if you’re in an area where youcan’t get out fishing because of F&M.

The really good news for this year is that you will be able to buy tackle as well as try it. The new tackle items on show will be for sale in the Retail Village.

  • Meet the stars of angling with most of the big names being in attendance.
  • Have a go for the tagged fish in the NEC’s Pendigo Lake and win a tackle prize worth up £ 300. There’s a total of £ 30,000 in prizes. And it’s free!
  • See four times world champion Bob Nudd and specialist angler Matt Hayes and other stars giving demonstrations.

Try AND Buy the Tackle!

  • Go and have some game casting instruction from the Salmon and Trout Association.
  • Or some coarse fishing coaching from the top talent of the Professional Angling Association.
  • Buy the tackle as well as try it.
  • Visit Carp Corner where the ‘secrets’ of some of Britain’s top carp anglers are revealed in a series of seminars hosted by Chris Ball. The best baits, waters, tackle and tactics you need to know to catch big carp.

  • Holiday World will have all the information you need to plan the holiday of your dreams, anywhere in the world. Find out how to get there and what it will cost.
