It’s the second FM Fly Fish-in tomorrow, Saturday, 16th April, and like last year it’s to be held at Press Manor Fishery in Derbyshire.

Last year we were treated to a brilliant demonstration of fly tying by FM member and contributor Andy Wright who since then has sadly passed away. So this year we have a trophy in memory of Andy and will be awarded to the angler who catches the first 12 fish, or the most fish if fewer than 12 are caught by any individual. The trophy stands over 8 inches high and is over 8 inches across the top of the bowl.

Programme for the day.

Meet at the caravan for tea and coffee, 9-00 am.

Fishing and instruction by Ron Clay to 12-30 pm.

Lunch at the Three Horseshoes.

1-30 to 2-30pm fly tying demo by Ron Clay.

2-30 to evening, fishing on the lake.

Bernie Maher, who is an AIPGA instructor, will also be there to lend a hand.

The event will be attended by Andy’s widow Sue (who will present the trophy and a small trophy for the winner to keep). Also in attendance will be Andy’s mum, dad and brother.

If last year’s event was anything to go by it’s going to be a great day. All are welcome.
