The 2011 Charity Weekend is to be held over the dates of 10th & 11th September and one of the country’s leading day ticket fisheries: Bury Hill Fisheries near Dorking, Surrey has kindly donated 20 swims for a 24 hour carp competition to aid fundraising. This means that the event will, for the first time, be running at three separate locations – the well established Hawkhurst Fishery at Hawkhurst, Kent and another new venue, Cackle Hill Lakes at Biddenden, Kent.

To enter the carp competition, anglers need to raise a minimum donation of £150. As is standard with all Golden Balls charity events, choice of swims will be offered to the highest fundraiser with second choice going to the second highest fundraiser and so on. There is a holiday to be won for the top fundraiser courtesy of our generous sponsors as well as special prizes for the top 3 anglers along with many exciting raffle prizes on offer.

In addition, anglers fishing the Bury Hill event will also benefit from numerous tackle and bait prizes which will be allocated to swim numbers, these will consist of anything from a bag of boilies to selected rods and reels. Anglers will only find out what they have won once they have chosen their swim, so everyone participating stands the win some excellent prizes.

The Schedule for each of the venues is slightly different so check out the Golden Balls Website for full details of your chosen event.

The Raffle Prize draw and announcement of the Grand Total Raised will take place at Hawkhurst Fish Farm at 1700 hours. All winners of Raffle Prizes will be notified within 24 hours by way of contact details on their raffle ticket stubs.

It promises to be an excellent weekend of fishing and fundraising, so please make sure that you are part of it!
