The fair is a great day out, with plenty of angling and other activities such as: show jumping, clay shooting, gundogs, terrier racing, a fun fair and hundreds of trade stands.

The Wye & Usk Foundation will be hosting the fishing section, situated by the river, where there will be fly fishing tuition and demonstrations from several professional GAIA qualified instructors along with salmon and trout distance casting competitions and a trout accuracy competition. Prizes will include fishing tackle and trophies for the winners of the gents, ladies and juniors sections.

In the main tent there will be fly tying demonstrations by members of the the Fly Dressers Guild and fishing tackle, old and new, to try or buy.

For coarse anglers, there is a fishing match on the river and the Caradoc Beat is one of the most popular among coarse anglers, providing excellent opportunities for barbel, chub, pike and silver fish. The match is open to all (maximum 30 people) with prize money to be won and tackle prizes courtesy of Korum.
