Record ghostie and PB from Bury Hill’s Temple Lake

Despite fishing hard owing to the changing weather and some pretty chilly nights, Jane Chadwick had a blinding session on Temple last week catching a new PB and new Temple record in the shape of ‘The Ghost’ which hit the scales at 35lb 12oz.

143031, ‘The Ghost’ was in immaculate condition and was last reported in October 2006 weighing 32lb, having hovered around the 30lb mark for a couple of years previous to that.

Other recent fish from Temple include Craig Hess’s 31lb 4oz Italian 2 which he caught on a Mainline Pulse bait also from swim 12 the week before. James Hiscock also came close to hitting the thirty-pound mark this week with a big 28lb 8oz mirror, James fished peg 1 catching on Icelandic Red bait.

Not to be outdone, the Old Lake has also been throwing up plenty of good fish topped by Darren Morgan’s 32lb common which he caught as part of a 14 fish haul.

Darren fished peg 2 and caught all his fish on Heathrow Baits 18mm Red Indian boilies which he wrapped in soft paste, dipping his baits in Red Indian oil which he then fished to the far bank.

Following on from Darren’s thirty, Kev Hughes managed not one, but two, thirties this week from the Old Lake; a 32lb mirror and 32lb 4oz near leather during two different sessions.

Fishing peg 62 both days, Kev fished a homemade boilie to the open water to attract both fish, which were new Bury Hill PB’s for Kev!
