JOHN WILSON’S ‘WORLD OF FISHING’ Love him or hate him, John Wilson has done more to popularise angling in the UK than the rest of us put together in the last twenty years. Hearing that he had a new book out, I was keen to see what it had to offer, and got my chance to see both the book and the great man himself at the recent CLA Game Fair. This latest offering is based on John’s articles in The Daily Express and Sunday Express over the last eight or so years. There really is something for everyone in this lavishly illustrated book; from gudgeon to big game, from trout to cod, from England to Ecuador, as well as a selection of articles on ecological matters. Each piece is reasonably short; so it’s the sort of book that you can delve into at your leisure, and perhaps let some of John’s enthusiasm inspire you to try something different. | ||||||
