The U18 and U23 World Championships are due to be staged in Slovenia on 28/29 July 2012 along a deep, slow river where bloodworm and joker, pole and waggler tactics are likely to be the main lines of attack.

This year’s trial venue is the Gloucester Canal at Hempstead on Saturday 14 April. The venue is an ideal depth for this trial and has a mix of both roach and bream.

Competitors will be fishing to full international rules, a copy of which may be found HERE, and there will be 2 x 3 hour sessions on the day. 

Bait allowances for each session are 10 litres mixed groundbait and leam, 0.5 litre joker / bloodworm per session and 1 litre of other baits. No bread punch or pellets are allowed.

You must be under 23 years of age on 31 December 2012 to apply.

 

Sensas Team England U18 trial 2012

The England U18 trial will be taking place at Gold Valley Lakes, Aldershot, Hampshire on Saturday 28 April 2012. In order to take part in the trials you must be under 18 years of age on 31 December 2012.

Bait allowances for the trial will be 1 litre of casters, 10 litres brown bait/leam, and 0.5 litre of bloodworm and joker, and fishing to full international rules.

Applicants for both trials must impress the England Youth Managers, Mark Downes (U23) and Steve Sanders (U18). Both Managers will be looking for talented youngsters who have the ability to fish under pressure.

Anyone wishing to apply must be individual members of the Angling Trust, and membership is free for anyone 17 years of age and under. Angling Trust membership application forms are available HERE.
