The new look for FM is a bit more than a mere ‘Nip and Tuck’. Under that fairly similar exterior is a whole pondful of sweat and blood from the effort all the FM team have put in to bring you a better website experience.

What we’ve done is reorganised the site so that you can find your way round it a whole lot more easily. We’ve been very aware for quite some time that under that home page shell is an archive of extremely valuable and interesting material that isn’t so easy to bring to the surface.

So what we’ve done is split the site into four sections: Tackle, Technique, Where to fish, News and views and Forums.

Click through ‘Tackle’ for what’s new, editorial reviews (We Say), member reviews (You Say), online tackle shops, shopping partners, local shops and second-hand gear. And then discuss tackle and bait on the forum.

Look in ‘Technique’ for all the ‘how to’ articles for both beginners and advanced anglers, and any reference material about fish, clubs, rigs, and more.

Dip into ‘Where to fish’ for venue reports, news about clubs and anglers and any travel news. The forum link here is to venue reports.

‘News and views’ is where you’ll find catch reports, political comment, humour, stories, diaries, journals and chronicles. You’ll find anything to do with events here too, and the forum link will take you to ‘general’.

Finally, although some would say firstly, there are the forums, where you can discuss all things fishing, and lots of things that have absolutely nothing to do with fishing, so if you’ve got something to get off your chest or are just dying to tell a joke, this is the place to do it.

The makeover idea is simple really, we just want to give you a more efficient pick and shovel so that you can more easily dig out the gold that lies beneath the home page. We want to make it as easy as possible for you to navigate through the site and be able to find exactly what you’re looking for. Of course you’re going to need a little time to get used to the new layout, but once you have got a feel for it please do come back and tell us what you think we’ve got right and, of course, what you think we’ve got wrong.
