Online booking now on the CoarseFish & TroutFish websites

You’ll be pleased to know that following the successes of the online booking facility for the salmon fishing website FishSalmon, as a natural progression, the sister sites FishCoarse and FishTrout are now both set up with this very handy facility.

At present FishScotland has four major trout fisheries on board (though a couple will be closing soon for the winter) and they expect this facility to grow over the coming months, as they add members of the Association of Scottish Stillwater Fisheries.

The coarse fishing side has kicked off with Castle Loch, near Lochmaben in Dumfries, being the first fishery on board and this has already proved a very popular addition with steady bookings. Castle Loch was chosen as the first online coarse fishery as it is one of the most well known fisheries in Scotland and currently holds the Scottish tench, bream and carp records. Full details of Castle Loch can be found on http://www.castlelochfisheries.co.uk

I am confident that as the angling public discover these online facilities they will prove a very popular asset, especially suited to the travelling angler who can book his ticket well in advance of their travel dates. Once the booking has been paid for online (via Royal Bank of Scotland secure payment system) the angler receives an e-mailed confirmation of the booking, which serves as their permit and simultaneously the fishery is advised of the booking. Also at the same time the number of online available rods is reduced automatically to avoid over / double bookings.
