The new Orvis store at Loynton

Orvis has opened up a great new store at Loynton Trout Fishery, Staffordshire filled with fine quality fly-fishing tackle, specialist shooting attire, casual country clothing as well as pet care products and unique gifts for the country home. The 2,500 square foot wooden lodge style store overlooking the lakes has been specially designed to sit sympathetically amid picturesque Loynton, Staffordshire.

The opening is in line with the blossoming of UK business. Orvis’ expansion has included the opening of 24 retail stores in the UK and a move to larger HQ and distribution premises in Andover, Hampshire.

Loynton is an established trout fishery in the West Midlands and is located about ten minutes away from both the M54 and the M6 motorways. The site is the first destination store for Orvis boasting an onsite fishery allowing customers to take advantage of the surrounding three spring fed lakes totalling twelve acres of water, set in the classic lowland countryside.

The area has a strong field sports community and is historically the meeting and shopping destination for local anglers and game shooters. Situated in Loynton fisheries, the premier trout fishery in Staffordshire, anglers can experience fly fishing of the highest quality.

The Orvis Company is steeped in history, dating back to 1856, founded by Charles F. Orvis in Manchester, Vermont, USA. The ancestry of the Orvis family has been traced back to records in sixteenth century England.

Orvis donates 5% of pre-tax profits annually to organisations that protect fish and wildlife habitat.
