I resigned from the PAC for personal reasons, which I have discussed only with Mark Leathwood, PAC Secretary. He respects my feelings and we remain, as we have been for some time, good friends. The following are totally irrelevant to my resignation: Blithfield; my Chairmanship; any new pike group; Lucebaits.

I was founder and, for the first three years, the secretary of the PAC. After that I was nothing for a few years until somebody (lost in the mists of time – John Milford?) made me Chairman. I am now nothing again!

It was Mick Brown who offered a formula to PAC, not myself. Mick would also confirm this. There was a space for all of us to sign, which I did because I thought it was a good idea. Later the idea was rejected after proper consideration. Whether others signed it or not I have no idea.

Finally, for some years now I have been buying Lucebaits. Last winter Neville Fickling offered to supply some of my bait needs, something hardly unusual in angling I understand! It was announced last winter, long before this debate or that debate. Neville and I have been friends for many years. I am sure we shall remain so, even if prickly with each other from time to time.
