Overview

Designed for strength and catching big weights. Power feeders have a unique chamfered edge that protects your line from damage and makes filling easier. The built in Power Stretch Link, which incorporates a quick change swivel, reduces crack-offs on the cast and minimises hooklength breakage from severe bites. The tough plastic body is designed to withstand excessive punishment, is a neutral colour to blend in with the bottom and the short length not only casts very well it also empties quickly. Available in twin value packs, in 4 different sizes to cover all situations, the compact lead design promotes the bolt effect when fishing for carp.

Verdict

Fish the Tidal Trent, the Ribble, some parts of the Severn and no doubt other rivers strewn with rocks, boulders and sharp gravel and there’s no doubt you will have lost a few feeders and damaged loads of others.


Which is where these Power Feeders from Preston Innovations come into their own: they’re tough, very tough, and I’ve not used better in rivers where feeders are prone to damage.

But that isn’t the whole story, for these are good feeders anyhow, the chamfered edge reducing line damage, and the power stretch link (oblong section powergum) going a long way to preventing break-offs when casting or receiving a powerful bite.

Anyone who is fed up with splitting relatively expensive feeders should try these from Preston.
