Richworth Say
Richworth were the first company to produce boilies over twenty years ago, and with great success have expanded this range to include over 25 different flavours, many of which have been there from day one.

Good, deep colour, not too bright
A nice deep colour and not too bright

One of the most successful has been Tutti Frutti, in fact it’s probably one of the most successful carp boilies of all time. Many companies have tried to copy this flavour but to no avail.

The main reason for this is that 90% of flavours we produce are blended by ourselves and all are tested to extremes which, in turn, enables you to be 100% confident in any bag of Richworth bait that you may choose.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

I’ve caught carp on them and they smell OK to me, although I have to confess that the only flavour I can detect is aniseed, so whether the aniseed and maple flavours compliment each other is only the carp’s guess.

What I don’t know is if the success I’ve had on them is due to the flavour or in spite of it. I do know that it was the most successful boilie I tried on the three occasions I’ve used them when I pitched them against some of the established baits on the water.

A bit dry for my liking
A bit on the dry side but do the fish care about that, or just me?

The only thing I didn’t like about them is that they’re a little on the dry side. I usually prefer a more moist centre (which is probably why I would rather have frozen boilies than shelf-life).

However, I’ve enough confidence in them to want to try them again. Only time will tell if this flavour is any better than others.
