YATELEY MATCH LAKE

The catfish in the Match lake on the Dynamite Yateley Complex have been active early this spring and a number of good fish have been taken by the anglers targeting them.

Two fish topping the 35lb mark have been taken in the past fortnight including this excellent specimen of 35lb 4oz that fell to the rods of Surrey specialist angler Ian Brotherwood.

Ian presented a fish section over a bed of pellets to tempt the fish, his first ever catfish, during a three night social session on the water whilst other members of the party banked cats of 28 and 27lb.

JONES PIT

The most sought after catfish in the country, the Jones Pit albino, saw the bank for the first time this season when it was banked earlier this week by fifteen year old Jake Costard.

Jake, from Brentford, weighed the fish in at 25lb 12oz after it picked up his legered mackerel fished on a size 4 hook to 15lb line and 25lb ESP hooklength.
