Simon ‘Lockstock’ Davey captured his target fish in the shape ofShoulders at 43 lbs plus. Fishing from the ‘Scooter’ on Horton Church Lake Simon landed the old warrior at around 7am.

Just to cap his run of success Simon also managed to put the netunder Wallace the Linear at over 31 lbs to complete a memorablebrace.

In addition Simon also to took Fishers Pond mirrors to 22 lbs8oz.

Then Shoulders made another appearance in a matter of days, justas it did earlier in the season. The overjoyed captor this time wasPaul Radford of Bracknell. Having arrived on the lake earlier thatday Paul found a group of fish in Church bay. Paul quietly placed acouple of baits in the edge of the bay out of the swim known as’Phils’ corner’. Literally within 30 minutes of the baits beingpositioned one was away and after a short but dramatic tussle paulbank his first fish from Horton – What a way to start !

Two large residents from Church Lakes
A sudden feeding spree saw the Church Lakes two largest residentsmake an appearance on the bank over the weekend. Horton regular Colin’Gaylord’ Nash tempted the Parrot from the Salt Circle Swim at 40 lbsand ounces on a Carp Company Ice Red Boilie with Cranberry. Unusuallyfor a big fish it fought at a hectic rate which made Colin think thatit was a Fishers Pond fish initially.

Other notable captures from the lake this week include SimonDaveys capture of Tetleys Common at 35 lb 2oz , Colin ‘Gaylord’ Nashtaking Pimple the common at 29lb 6oz and Lee Chappelle banking whatcould be the oldest fish in the lake in the shape of ‘Little Frank’the common at 13lbs.

Two-Tone
We hear that the Mid Kent Fisheries famous two tone mirror has beencaptured at a massive 59 lb 12 oz by Mark Tolland. The Wraysburyregular apparently banked the monster earlier this week.
