Strike Hold – The Award-Winning Fisherman’s Toolkit In A Can

Voted by retailers in the fishing and field sports industries as Best Field Sports Accessory at the Tackle & Guns Trade Show 2005, Strike Hold certainly made an impression.

Launched at the Tackle & Guns Trade Show, Fresh Industries Ltd’s new product, Strike Hold, is a revolutionary fast acting penetrative solution that will not only keep fishing tackle free from the effects of corrosion, but will also help facilitate fishing performance, reducing the likelihood of snagging and sticking.

Unlike rival cleaner-lubricant-protectors (CLPs) that leave an oily residue that attracts dirt and debris, it is a dry lubricant, which will repel such debris that often causes jamming. It will help rejuvenate soft fishing lures, lubricate swivels on fishing lures as well preventing them from snagging. Sprayed on fishing rod joints and the reel itself, Strike Hold’s strong capillary action ensures that all moisture is driven out of parts you cannot see or get to. Since it is heavier than water and does not simply float on the surface, it will force water out, ensuring that all parts of the fishing gear stay free from corrosion, even in salt water conditions.

It will displace moisture from boat engines and will prevent all metal boat fixture and fittings from rust. It is robust enough to protect boat components from salt damage and will even remove river sludge without causing damage to the gel-coating on fibreglass boats.

Best of all, it is much better value for money than other CLPs on the market and will not harm fishing lines, including monofilament lines and has no effect on paintwork, even after continuous application. Available in a handy pocket-sized 150 ml can, Strike-Hold contains a much higher percentage of product within each can. Strike Hold’s high quality carbon dioxide propellant means that each can contains over 80% of pure product, as opposed to the majority of CLPs that contain as little as 20% product and 80% aerosol.

In fact, it is so effective that it is ideal for those using electrical radio or metallic mechanical equipment around water (such as bite alarms). Its demoisturant quality helps dry out electrical equipment and metals, whilst improving dielectric strength. Where many CLPs are easily rendered ineffective when in contact with medium to high electrical currents, Strike-Hold can handle up to 38,000 volts. It completely coats electrical connections allowing electricity to pass through whilst preventing corrosion and oxidation, even when submerged in salt water. A series of demonstrations, coating a live light-bulb with Strike Hold and submerging it under water whilst switched on, certainly grabbed the attention of onlookers at the Tackle & Guns Trade Show.

Commenting on the product and its first UK award, Aziz Tejpar, Managing Director of Fresh Industries, said:

“We are delighted that Strike Hold an award at this year’s Tackle & Guns Trade Show. In terms of preserving fishing gear, the uses for Strike Hold are numerous – it’s literally a toolkit in a can for those involved in fishing, whether for professional purposes or as a leisurely pursuit.”

Strike-Hold is available in 150ml or 480ml spray cans and will not harm commonly associated materials, such as rubber, most plastics and wood finishes. More information can be obtained by calling Fresh Industries on 01245 425722, sales@freshindustries.co.uk or by visiting www.freshindustries.co.uk.
