How long ago was it when the best reel on the market by far was the Abu Cardinal 55? So long I can’t remember, but it was more than 20 years. The ’55’ was mine, and most angler’s come to that, favourite reel. The name Abu was synonymous with quality but since then fads and fashions have changed and the Cardinal, and Abu reels generally, lost much of their popularity. But I believe that may be set to change with the introduction of the Suver
