Bending into a carp during a previous FM day on Clattercote

It’s the biggest turnout we’ve ever had for the Keith Culley Memorial Match which will be fished on Saturday, 20th May by some 38 FM members.

PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY

  • Arrive 7.30am at Tesco for breakfast (optional).
  • Map to Tesco’s – Type Banbury in the locator box and then click on ‘info and map’
  • Map to Clattercote – Clattercote is the little blue rectangle just above the word ‘Mollington’.
  • Leave Tesco’s no later than 8.30am and arrive at lake for draw and payment of optional pools (£ 5.00) at 8.45am
  • Fishing is from 10.30am till 4pm
  • Gather in car park for presentation, pools payout (3 prizes, 1st:50%, 2nd:30% and 3rd:20% of total pools money) and photographs.
  • As soon as the presentation is over, we leave for pub, followed by evening meal in Indian restaurant (optional).

FISHERY RULES (Verbatim from the Clattercote Match Booking Form)

  • Two keepnets are required, one for carp and tench, one for silver fish (or one for carp and one for tench if not targeting silver fish)
  • Weigh-in mats will be provided by the ‘on-site’ bailiff together with instructions on weigh-in procedure
  • Nets must be staked out properly
  • When weighing-in please avoid damage to fish
  • NEVER place fish on platforms or boards
  • Barbless hooks only – maximum hook size 8
  • No braid is permitted as hooklength
  • All carp and tench must be land-netted. No swinging to hand
  • Waders will be needed when fishing later on in the year (ie, low water levels)
