Bedford’s Cliff Kemp has caught the mirror carp known as the ‘Starburst Mirror’ at spot on 39lbs. Cliff fished particle hook bait over an heavily spodded area at 80-90 yards range.

David Holmes from Beaconsfield caught a 27.02 mirror when he fished a pineapple pop up with pellets in PVA bags at 50 yards range.

Warrington’s Tony Parker spodded hemp & pellets to a 70 yard mark to catch a 29.04 mirror on a Activ8 Pineapple Pop-Up.

Swindon’s Geoff Collins fished a single piece of Pepperami to catch a PB mirror of 28lb.Dave O’niel from Welwyn Garden City caught two mirrors of 20lb and 25.04 and two commons of 30.12 and 23lb when he fished Scopex Squid & Liver Boilies over a spod mix at 60 yardsA single pineapple pop up caught a personal best mirror of 31lb for Paul James from Tottenham.

Fishing at 65 yards range with a Richworth Tuti-Fruti Boilie with a stick rig set up, Sam Taylor from Essex caught a common carp of 26.02.

A single B5 Boilie fished at 60 yards range put a 31.06 mirror in the net for Somerset’s Dave Acreman.

Taking the water apart (again) were brothers Carl & Sean Pashley from Bedford. Carl caught 20 carp including six twenties to 27.10 and Sean caught 18 – a catch that included 10 twenties to 27.15. The brothers were both fishing particles over an heavy spod mix at approx. 90 yards range.

HARDWICK LAKE
Johnnie ‘B’ from Wolverhampton caught a common of 34.06 when he fished Nash Boilies over Bankside Grubber Pellets at 50 to 60 yards. His mate, Andy Lees, caught a 26.08 mirror by fishing the same method.

GAUNTS LAKE
Craig Temple was more than pleased when his boilie bait was picked up by one of the lakes bigger residents. The fish know as the ‘Big Plated’ was caught at 40 yards range and weighed 37.08.

Mick Perry who was on the water with Kenny Dorset to do a feature for the Total Carp Magazine caught the Two Tone Mirror at 36.04 and a 22.14 mirror. Both fish were caught on Mainline Activ Pineapple fished over spodded chopped boilies at 40 yards range. Kenny Dorset caught five carp to 21.08 fishing the same method as Mick.

YEOMENS LAKE
Dave Barnes enjoyed a session on the smallest of the Guy Lakes syndicate waters by catching mirror carp of 22.08, 23.08, 24.08, 27.10 and 33.08.

Clive Turner from Didcot Angling fished Richworth Com-plex Boilies over spodded pellets at 50 yards to catch a mirror of 24.07.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Jon Finch fished his own Bankside Bloodworm 18ml Boilies over 5 kilo of Bankside Frozen Bloodworm and 3ml Bio Feed Pellets at 90-100 yards range to catch mirror carp of 24.10, 31.02 and 31.10. the biggest is the fish known as ‘The Random Mirror’. Then he went on top catch mirrors weighing 26.10 and 16.04.

Chris Fitzgibbon from Swindon caught a big mirror of 29.08 by stalking in the margins with float fished worm.

A 10.06 tench was caught but the angler went home before we could get his name.

OXLEASE LAKE
Cheltenham’s Dan Farley fished particles on the hook and pellets in PVA bags at 60 yards range to catch four double figure mirrors. His mate, Stefan Cambridge, from the same town fished the same method and he also caught four doubles to 19.10.

Fishing a lobworm at 40 yards, George Smith from Coventry caught a mirror of 21.01.

David Holloway from Melsham fished pineapple pop-ups along with PVA bags filled with pellets at 45 yards range to catch a mirror carp of 27lb.

Wallingford’s Richard Vernon caught a personal best carp of 30.08 when he fished maggot hook baits and maggots in PVA bags at 40 yards. The big mirror beat Richards previous PB by 12lb.
