ST JOHNS
John [Tango] Scott from Essex is still enjoying his session on the water by catching the ‘Star Burst Mirror’ at 38.02 and the ‘Fully Scaled’ at 38lb. He has also caught another mirror of 26.08, a common of 26lb + three other low twenties. Tango is still fishing Solar Boilies with SBS Flavour.

Brian Mackay was thrilled with his capture of a lake record catfish. The big cat that was weighed and verified by bailiff Roy Parsons tipped the scales at 66lb and was caught on a home made boilie fished with a PVA bag containing Halibut Pellets.

Fishing boilies with PVA bags and pellets at 30 yards, Mark Churchill from Banbury has caught a PB common of 29lb + two low twenty mirrors and two doubles.

Danny Aplin started fishing last night and has so far caught a common of 32.14 and four doubles to 19.06. Danny is fishing particles over pellets.

John [Tango]Scott has caught a further nine twenties to 26lb since our last report. This makes a total of 38 carp over twenty pounds he has caught from the water in just two weeks.

HARDWICK LAKE
Bill Ginger from North Wales fishing different brands of boilies at 70 yards has caught eight carp including three twenties to 23.02.

Fishing on the suface with mixer, John Ford caught a personal best fully scaled mirror of 27lb.

GAUNTS LAKE
Oxford’s Barry Davis fishing particles over pellets at 35 yards has caught mirrors of 25.12 and 23.02.

YEOMENS LAKE
Nick Bull caught a mirror of 27.12 and a common of 26.03.

UNITY LAKE
Ivor Peachy enjoyed a four day session on the water by catching mirrors of 27lb, 26.08, 25lb, 23.10, 22.06, two at 21.08, commons of 23.06, 23.08, 21lb, ghost carp of 28.09[lake record ghostie] and 27.05. Ivor also caught eight doubles and fished Richworth Multiplex Boilies over heavily spodded pellets at 80 yards range.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Jamie Ford from London fishing with Icelandic Red Boilies has caught mirrors of 36.04, 28.00, 27.00, 21.08, 17.00 and 16.00.

On his first visit to the water, Chris Berry from Northants caught ‘Cut Tail’ the mirror at 40.03. Chris fished with Dynamite Monster Tiger Nut Boilies.Mark McDonnell also from Northants caught a mirror of 33lb on Richworth Multiplex Boilies.

Bryan Jarrett of Hinders Tackle fishing at 60 yards with Hinders Boilies over Hinders Betane Pellets caught 7 carp to 23.06.

OXLEASE LAKE
Billie Truby from Oxford fished particles with PVA bags and pellets to catch mirrors of 25.02 and 21lb.

Scott Burgess from Abingdon fished at 50 yards with sweetcorn over pellets to catch a mirror of 29.01.

Andy Lees from Wolverhampton caught seven mirrors including twenties of 28.08, 23.08, 22.07, 21.07 and 20lb. Andy fished with Richworth Multiplex over pellets.

Stuart Leighton also on Richworth Multiplex fishing at 30 yards over pellets caught mirrors of 27.08, 23.08, 22lb, 21lb and 12lb.

Nick Collins has caught seven mirrors including two twenties of 24.01 and 22lb. The fish were all caught on Mike Wilmott Shellfish B5 over heavily spodded hemp and pellets at 35 yards.

Rich Kingston from Southampton caught a mirror of 28.01 on Mainline Fusion Boilies over Pellets.Also from Southampton is Adam Clewer who has caught mirrors of 22.08 and 17.14.

Liverpool’s John Satchell fishing Mistral Rose Hip Boilies over pellets at 60 yards has caught three mirrors. The best fish at 29.14 was witnessed by Linear Bailiff, Colin Hambridge, who confirmed that this was one of the lakes original fish.

Adam Clewer fishing with Mainline Fusion Boilies has added another four mirror carp to his list. Two of these weighed in at 25.06 and 27.12.

WINTER PERMITS
Limited winter permits are now on sale that will cover fishing with up to three rods on any of the Linear Oxford Day Ticket Waters – St. Johns, Manor Farm, Hardwick/Smiths Pool and Oxlease Lake.

The winter permits will run from November 1st until march 1st and will cost £ 150. They are now available [in writing] from: The Fishery Manager, 10a Rackstraw Grove, Old Farm Park, Milton Keynes, MK7 8PZ. They will also be available from Linear Bailiffs on the bank from October 1st. Cheques should be made payable to Linear Fisheries – Oxford.
