ST JOHNS
Fishing with a Pattisal Park Boilie Mix over spodded particles, Matt Webb from Sutton Coldfield caught a mirror of 18.08 and a fully scaled mirror of 26.04.

Father & Son Team, Barry and Ben O’Connor caught four carp each including two twenties – the best 23.02. Bait was, Solar Club Mix with Caramel Toffee.

Andy Bassett from Essex caught a 23.08 mirror by spodding a mix to a 50 yard marker and fishing particle hook baits.

Nicki Radnefer from Bristol caught a brace of mirrors weighing 24.08 each. Nicki fished Mainline M8 boilies at 35 yards.

Brothers Richard & Andrew Bayes, from North Yorkshire, have found the carp feeding. Fishing at sixty yards with boilie hook baits over an heavy spod mix Richard has caught a 26.11 mirror a 25lb ghost common and a 14lb common. Andrew has caught two commons of 22.14 & 19.08, a 19.12 mirror and a 13.12 bream.

Fishing at 20 yards with particle hook bait over pellets & particles, Manchester’s Dave Moore has caught a 27.01 mirror.

After winning a 48 hour fishing voucher for the Linear Day Ticket Waters at a Carp Society Show, Ian Burrows from Newent Gloucestershire chose St. Johns Lake and was rewarded with a a mirror of 37.02 + two smaller mirrors of 14 & 15lb and a common of 28.04. Ian fished Terry Hearn The Source Boilies over an heavy spod mix at sixty yards.

Shropshires, Jamie Downes fishing Halibut Pellets at 40 yards has caught two mirrors of 22.12 and 15lb.

HARDWICK LAKE
Fishing boilies over particles in the margins on his first visit to the water, Stuart Hall from Manchester caught a 26lb mirror carp.

Melvyn Wood from Northampton caught three mirrors of over 18lb and one of 14.02 plus a personal best common carp of 34.08. Melvyn fished out on the plateau with boilie hook baits over particles.

Bernie Loftus fishing with Mike Willmott Shellfish B2 Boilies at 60 yards caught a mirror of 32.10.

Stuart Hall from Manchester fished boilies over particles in the margins to catch a mirror of 26.08.

Melvyn Wood from Northampton fished at 40 yards using boilies over particles to catch a common of 34.08, three mirrors over 18lbs and one of 14lb

Danny Aplin from Didcot fished particles over an heavily spodded area to catch four commons of 23.03, 21.09, 17.02 and 15lb.

HUNTS CORNER LAKE
Bedfordshire’s Stefan Bal fished Heathrow Bait Services pop-ups in the margins to catch a mirror of over 25lb. Stef tells us that this is his 30th carp over twenty from the water this summer – all have been caught during the day [Stef doesn’t night fish]and nearly all of them through stalking around the margins.

Two members caught ten carp between them including nine twenties. The best of these, a common, weighed over 29;lb.

Andy Wornham, fishing an overnight session has caught mirrors of 31.08, 27lb, 23.04, a 25.08 common and two doubles. Andy is fishing boilies over particles.

GAUNTS LAKE
Ian Lock from Gosport caught the mirror known as the ‘Big Plated One’ when he fished home made sea food bolies over a spod mix – the big mirror weighed 36.04.

YEOMENS LAKE
Fishing with Richworth Multiplex Boilies, Nick Bull caught a common of 24.08, mirrors of 30.04, 27.08 25lb, 22.07 and a double.

Fishing up close to the island and using Richworth Multiplex Boilies over an heavily spodded mix, Nick Bull has caught a mirror carp of 30.09. This is Nick’s second thirty from the water this week.

MANOR FARM LAKE
Mike Law from Leicester fished single boilie hook baits to catch mirrors of 20.08 and 13.06.

Jason Cann on the water to do a magazine feature has caught mirrors of 23lb, 22.02, 21.02, 15lb and 16lb + a common of 22.07. Jason is fishing particles over an heavy spod mix.

OXLEASE LAKE
Towcesters, Peter Walker fished particle over spod mix to catch a 28.12 mirror.

Angie Lawley from West Brom. fished her SBS M1 Boilies at 30 yards to catch a mirror of 21lb. During an overnight stay, Rich Kingstone from Southampton has caught 17 mirrors including twenties of 25.06, 21lb, 21.01, 21.15, 21.14, 25.04, 21.04, 20.12, 26.02 and 25.05. Rich is fishing with Mainline Fusion Boilies over heavily spodded pellets at 45 yards.

Andy Mclaughan caught a 28lb mirror within a couple of hours of arriving. Bait was particles fished with pellet filled PVA bags.

WINTER PERMITS
Limited winter permits are now on sale that will cover fishing with up to three rods on any of the Linear Oxford Day Ticket Waters – St. Johns, Manor Farm, Hardwick/Smiths Pool and Oxlease Lake.

The winter permits will run from November 1st until march 1st and will cost £ 150. They are now available [in writing] from: The Fishery Manager, 10a Rackstraw Grove, Old Farm Park, Milton Keynes, MK7 8PZ. They will also be available from Linear Bailiffs on the bank from October 1st. Cheques should be made payable to Linear Fisheries – Oxford.
