Due to be launched this week, the new ‘Source’ range by Dynamite Baits has been developed with prolific carp angler and former record holder Terry Hearn. The range includes Shelf Life Boilies, Frozen Boilies, Pop Ups (which include a small pot of dip), Base mixes and a liquid flavour.

,With a balanced combination of top quality birdfood and highest grade fishmeals along with Terry’s own liquid food source, these are a food type boilie ideal for long and short-term use. Apparently the frozen and shelf life boilies are rolled from identical recipes.

I was given only a kilo to try so haven’t been able to do any substantial baiting with it, but have caught reasonably well using two or three bait stringers or crushed boilies in a PVA bag, including the second biggest fish in our lake after 15 mins of using it the first time! (probably only a coincidence but it really gave me a lot of confidence in it).

The bait is a dark reddy brown colour and appears to have eggshell pieces contained within. It has a fishy smell that is not too strong and reminds me of something else though I can’t quite put my finger on it.

After a brief conversation with Terry at the Doncaster show last week, he assured me that he is actually using it and hasn’t just put his name to it like some cynical people appear to be suggesting and other high profile anglers have also been field testing this bait with good results. In brief, this seems to be a good bait that is well worth trying if you are looking for a new bait at the moment. It will be launched at The Carp Show next week (22nd & 23rd) and will be available from Dynamite Stockists in the next couple of weeks.
