The Watermark and Shimano have joined forces as part of a long term strategic partnership that looks set to firmly establish the venue as one of ‘the’ leading UK fisheries.

Set in the Cotswold Water Park, an area that contains more lakes than the Norfolk Broads, the Watermark has its own fisheries on both river and lake. Many of the lakes, such as Little Horseshoe, a 4 1/2 acre carp venue with a head of over 400 fish ranging from mid doubles to 30lb+, are already firmly established.

Bradley’s, a 130 acre specimen hunters dream, has over 2,500 carp – a number of which are growing towards the magical 40lb mark. Bradley’s is also well known for its Tench to double figures, Roach, Perch and Rudd, and is currently undergoing a major redevelopment programme in advance of hosting both of the UK Carp Semi Finals this Summer.

Trout and Pike anglers are also well catered for with the mature 5 1/2 acre Trout Lake which is home to many resident Brown Trout, and is regularly stocked with Browns and Rainbows from 2-20lb.

The 40 acre Pike lake is home to specimen Pike, Tench, Perch and Roach.

With fisheries being added to Watermark’s portfolio on a regular basis, Watermark caters for every discipline! “It’s not just The Watermarks’ incredible facilities that attracted us, but also their whole ethos” commented Craig Brew, Shimano’s MD.

“They encourage a friendly atmosphere, a litter free environment, and have a huge respect for the natural surroundings, to the extent that they have already funded long term environmental management plans for all of their lakes. Watermark’s whole outlook fits perfectly with Shimano’s mission statement and I’m looking forward to working with Adrian and his team over the coming years.”

“We are fortunate to have a Company of Shimano’s calibre working with us to help drive our business plan forward,” said Adrian Davey, Operations Manager for Watermark. “Shimano is perfectly aligned with our multi disciplined site, and we are delighted to have formalised a working relationship. Shimano will bring valuable expertise to Watermark via its team of consultants and management team, to assist Watermark in the development of its various fishing projects going forward.”
