Thousands of Brown Trout have been killed following the addition of a toxic chemical to their water over the weekend. The Brown Trout were being raised at a Killesher in Florencecourt to increase stocks and attract tourists to the area.

Police think that someone broke into the premises and added the chemical in a deliberate attack on the hatchery. Many fish died instantly, but more are expected to die over the next few days as the chemical has been found to attack the central nervous system.
