Orpington, Kent schoolboy Tom White proves that catching big chub is still possible even though the rivers are closed until 16th June. Tom fished a stillwater in the south of England (which can’t be named due to a publicity ban) to catch this magnificent 7lb 12oz specimen by presenting lobworms on a 6 hook to Kryston Dark Mantis. Tom, aged 10, also caught an even bigger chub of 8lb 6oz and a smaller one of 6lb 4oz. Tom has previously taken big chub from the water to 7lb 4oz. |
