Some 145 prime carp of the Fisher’s Pond strain have been stockedinto various RMC Angling fisheries. The three year old stock weighedbetween 4 ½ lb and 6 ½ lb and should grow to double-figuresby the end of the year.

The three acre Burghfield Blue Pool on the outskirts ofReading received 30 carp, while the 23 acre Theale Lake One,another Reading water, was topped up with 20 carp, with more to go insoon.
Fishers Green Relief Channel already has an impressivestock of carp topping 30lb. Now 15 more mirrors, again of theFisher’s Pond strain, join them.
The final stocking was to a new 15 acre water, notcurrently on the RMC Angling books, with 80 carp. This venue nowholds over 500 carp and the water will be opened when they all top20lb.
