S3000 – perfect for fishing

Chosen by many fishermen, members of the world’s emergency services and elite military regiments, including the SAS, SBS and the Navy Seals (and still worn by former SAS member, author Andy McNab), Traser watches continue to prove themselves in active duty throughout the globe!

They are unlike any other watch available on the market today – in fact, the technology has only recently been classified for public use, after being a closely guarded military secret for many years! The ultimate illumination technology, Gaseous Tritium Light Source (GTLS) means there is no need to hold a Traser watch up to the light and you won’t need to press anything to see it – just a quick glance will give you the correct time, anytime day or night – leaving you free to concentrate on your catch.

With their historical military heritage, Traser watches have an established reputation for being both a reliable and invaluable asset in the most demanding operational environments. Not surprisingly, they are currently worn by over 300,000 military, police and emergency services personnel around the world.

This outstanding range of sports watches offers the ultimate combination of rugged and modern styles and are a must for those who require the best precision performance in all light conditions, but who also like to invest in unique styling and innovative design.

The watch range is constructed to exacting standards in Switzerland from the best materials: resin for strength and lightweight; stainless steel, which is virtually bullet proof; and the material of the moment – titanium. Traser watches have some of the best features available including eight-year lithium batteries, hardened sapphire glass, single-direction rotating bezels and precision Swiss quartz movements. However, the outstanding feature on all Traser watches is the unique dial illumination system! Permanent Light Technology is up to 100 times brighter than other luminous watch dials.

Starting at just £ 69.95, the Traser offers a large range of Sport and Executive watches, with construction options. To order your Traser watch or find out more call 01202 48 77 57 or visit www.traser.com.

The S3000 series
Robust and innovative, this 45mm diameter model was the first Traser watch to feature a bezel and Traser lights on all three hands for covert, outdoor time synchronicity. The S3000 series is the original Navy Seal watch and you will have seen it being worn by the stars in many blockbuster movies such as Oceans 11, The Fast and the Furious, GI Jane and Under Siege. Water resistant up to 200M (660ft) and fully loaded with Traser light sources on all hour markings and on the bezel, this model started to make real inroads into the potential of Traser light illumination technology. Available with three strap options and six dial colour versions. A classic model on which many other watches have been based.

FISHINGmagic VERDICT

Excellent watch and very easy to see in the dark without having to press any buttons to illuminate the dial. It keeps accurate time and I don’t have to worry about getting it wet. So far it has taken quite a bit of knocking about without any ill effects.

I chose the velcro strap and it’s very comfortable.

If you want a rugged, ‘man’s’ watch that will take the usual battering an angler can dish out, where the time can be seen just as easily in the dark, then this is the one to buy. Not cheap, but certainly good value for money.
