The new division is using it’s own carp fishing consultants, including Dr Paul Garner and Colin Davidson, to design tackle and luggage that will stand up to the testing demands of the modern carp angler.

Sporting the Wychwood SPD label in 2003 will be a two man dome bivvy made from 420D nylon with all stress points box stitched for added strength. It has 11mm fibreglass poles. The bivvy is based on a revolutionary new square floor plan geodesic structure that gives added strength and extra room without adding to the footprint.

Also due out in the new year is a modular luggage system made from 1680 ballistic nylon that uses the Duraflex quick release system. The system will allow smaller bags to be attached and detached to and from the rucksack, rod holdall or barrow according to the type of fishing the angler is pursuing. The smaller bags include various accessory, phone, cooking, bait, lead, hooklink, camera and food bags.

A Wychwood SPD oval umbrella type shelter features individual adjustable panels and is also made from 420D nylon.
