CHRISTMAS IS COMING

White Acres is holding its popular big Christmas match on Christmas Eve. Having fished this match last year and framing with a section second, I know the prizes you get are superb. Section winners had enough food and booze to take them through to Easter. NO JOKE. All entrance fees are put back into prizes and this year Clint tells me that White Acres will be putting on a sit down meal of curry-chill etc, for FREE.

The cost of entrance is £ 25 and everyone comes away with something.
For more details give Clint a call:- 01726 862113.

Speaking to Simon Waterhouse at Gwinear Fisheries today and his festive match is being held on New Years Eve.

Simon stated the END OF THE MILLENNIUM MATCH, (as he calls it ) will run under usual festive rules £ 15 all in, full pay out. Sections of 5. Section winners plus top 4 payouts. This format is a real gas as Mark Barden of Threemilestone A.C will confirm. In the ’99 match Mark came last in section, but with the other 4 in his section picking up cash for the first 4 on lake, Mark won his section. Nice one. TMS (Threemilestone) did well all told, with 5 team anglers present on the day, and they all took home money.

If you fancy a good well-attended match on News Years Eve this is the one. Why not stay in Cornwall for the New Year, if you live abroad. (over the Tamar River or England as it’s known). A recent survey showed that St Ives Cornwall, is the third most popular place to spend New Years eve, next to Trafalgar Square and Edinburgh but don’t tell anyone else.

Further information can be obtained from Simon or Jo on 01637 830165.

If you require any further information on the Cornish Coarse Scene e-mail me Paul Hancock. If you have not fished in Cornwall you don’t know what you are missing, we have no rivers but the stillwater scene is amongst the best in the U.K.

More reports from Cornwall soon.

Keep it tidy and tight,
