Overview

Andy Findlay is a legend on the commercial fishery scene and is regarded by many as the best angler in the country on the Method feeder.

He’s even designed several products for Preston Innovations and Korum and in this revealing video, he’ll explain everything you need to know to catch 100lb plus bags of carp on the Method.

However, rather than use groundbait, Andy now uses micro pellets instead and he explains how to prepare them, how to use the line clip for accurate casting, back shotting, changing the elastic in the feeder and loads, loads more.

This is a most revealing instructional video of a method that swept the country by storm and will appeal to pleasure anglers and experienced match anglers alike… you won’t fail to become a better feeder angler after watching this. The video was shot on Lake 2 at Preston Innovations Makins Fishery.

FishingMagic Verdict

I’ve met Andy Findlay a couple of times and there is no doubt that he’s a very knowledgeable angler, and especially so when it comes to method feeder fishing.

One thing he said to me that struck a chord, and he says it in the DVD, was, “keep it simple.” And that’s exactly what he does, nothing fancy but good, solid knowledge he’s gained over years of fishing the method.

Don’t expect this DVD to be a slick, all bells and whistles production shot with multiple cameras. It’s not, it’s like Andy’s fishing; simple, straightforward, to the point, and very, very informative. Picture quality is excellent and sound quality more than good enough. For a film making company that’s just getting off the ground I was more than impressed with their first efforts.

If you want mist-shrouded meadows in the background and commentary to pull the heartstrings then don’t buy this DVD. If you do want to learn how to fish the method efficiently and effectively, from a master method angler who explains it simply but very well indeed, then buy two copies, just in case you lose one.
