** Realistic Reviews by Real Anglers**

Big Fish Adventure are a small company based in Surrey. They produce quite a good range of innovative products mainly for the specialist angler, and one of those is their Sinking Sensation braided reel line.

Big Fish Adventure have chosen a flat braid for this range because, unlike traditional round section braids, they bed down and can fill the spool to a greater capacity and give an earlier indication of line twist.

Sinking Sensation is black and made from a blend of military grade Dyneema fibres. As the name suggests, it has good sinking properties which is important on hard-fished waters where the fish are very wary of line that is not hugging the bottom. The claim is that it has excellent knot strength without the use of glue, zero stretch, no memory, is unaffected by UV light and cannot rot. In the 12 months or so I’ve been using the line I have found no cause to disbelieve that.

The breaking point of Sinking Sensation is rated according to the knot strength, which has always made sense to me since anything is only as strong as its weakest point which, where any line is concerned, is at the knot. They go one farther, by rating it with the use of a figure eight loop knot, which could mean that the line will be stronger than its rating with the use of grinner and palomar knots.

It is available in 6lb (0.10mm) 8lb (0.12mm) 11lb (0.16mm) 15lb (0.21mm) and 25lb (0.32mm) strengths and costs £ 10 for a 100m spool. Bulk spools of 1000m are available at £ 75 each.
