UPDATE – FRIDAY

ST JOHNS LAKE
Simon Turner, a chef from Chippenham in Wiltshire took some time off cooking yesterday to rustle up a splendid 27.08 mirror carp. Simon presented his particle bait, fished with trout pellets in a PVA bag, at 80 yards to catch this fish. It is not his biggest from the water – last summer he caught fish to well over 30lbs.

HARDWICK LAKE
Clive Turner of Didcot Angling found the Hardwick carp in a feeding mood yesterday. On his first trip to the complex this year he netted two lovely carp – the first a common of exactly 21lb and the second a mirror of 30.11. Clive fished the method, using Richworth Multiplex boilies on the hook.

Earlier this week
MANOR FARM LAKE
The carp known has ‘The Birthmark Linear’ was caught by Jon Finch from Gloucestershire. This is Jon’s first visit and at 33.14 the fish is a PB for him. The fish was caught on Multiplex boilies at 65 yards.

ST JOHNS LAKE
Justin Gomer from Hungerford fished Active 8 boilies along with trout pellets in PVA bags to tempt a PB mirror carp of 28.08.

Sixteen year old, Philip Slattery from Taunton, Somerset caught a PB mirror carp of 25.04. Philip fished a single Frank Warwick, Day Glow Pop-Up to tempt the fish at 70 yards range.

UNITY LAKE
The lake is receiving some attention today from Shimano’s Nick Hellier, Ron Buss (Luv’ him) and big fish magnet, Ian Pool.

A Richworth Multiplex boilie along with crushed boilies and pellets in a PVA bag fished at 60 yards, earned Jamie Robson a 20.10 common carp.

YEOMANS LAKE
Northamptons, Nigel Barnes fished particles on a gravel bar at 40 yards to catch a personal best mirror carp of 27.08. Not far from him, Sid Holmes, from Botley in Oxfordshire, finished his session with a mirror of 24.04 and a common of 14lb.

GAUNTS LAKE
Mike Flack targeted the Gaunts Lake pike and within minutes of making an underarm cast with his sardine bait he was playing a new lake record! At 27.08 this pike is possibly also the Guy Lakes record. Mike had only been on the water 15minutes when the big fish picked up his bait.
